Usage: Tetracaine is a topical local anesthetic for the eyes. Tetracaine works by interfering with entry of sodium ions into nerve cells. This reduces the ability of nerves to generate an impulse and send pain sensations.

Tetracaine Description:

Tetracaine (INN, also known as tetracaine; trade names Pontocaine.Ametop and Dicaine) are potent topical anesthetics of the ester groups. It is mainly used for ophthalmology and antipruritic agents and has been used for spinal anesthesia. Tetracaine Application:
